Forum IndexConquests & Recruits

A working PB5300ce/32MB,1GB, with the floppy drive but missing rear door, two marginal batteries, two power adaptors, one VST external battery charger stand, one aftermarket "Bookendz" 5000 series dock. Also, some non-ppc mac stuff that belongs on the conquest postings on the (sigh) other forum... Rolling Eyes

Very nice. Freecycle is great. My best Freecycle find so far was an iMac 333.

Freecycle has become my favorite source and an addiction problem as far as checking it frequently. To make room for future Freecycle conquests, last weekend I hauled a hundred pounds of attic electronic junk to a local surplus store guy as a gift. He insisted on giving me some store credit. So I look around his junk collection, mostly 1970's vintage parts, and find a special cover for my Tek 475/DM44 scope, and, what's this, a new in the box Apple Airport card, complete with plastic enveloped manual, registration card, installation CD. I take the items up to the guy, and get the ok. So now my Freecycle PMG4/400 has a filled Airport slot!

Wow!

You guys must be near some pretty big metropolitan areas to get these good deals! Most of the computer junk around here is just that... junk!
You're lucky, my freecycle never gets macs. Razz
Ours had one one day... I think it was a broken PB 150 or something like that, missing a screen. A headless mac is a nice idea... as long as it has video out. Razz
