Finally got one, and for less than half the going rate on Craigslist. Yup, the highest-end iMac that can still boot Mac OS 9. My first iLamp, too. I lusted over these when they first came out, and now I have one.

Now I just need to find a set of restore discs.... (It has 10.4.11 on it along with a minimal-for-Classic OS 9 install; I would like to get the original software load on it.)

17" display (one stuck-blue pixel, I'll try massaging it back to life,) 800 MHz, only 256 MB of RAM, thankfully as one stick on the hard-to-reach slot (I should be able to find a 512 MB stick for the easy-to-reach slot somewhere,) SuperDrive, and 80 GB hard drive.

Now to go grab TenFourFox for it.

Awesome. Good conquest! I've always really liked that form factor and have a soft spot for the Luxo Mac.

I have bad news for you. According to this there are two versions of the G4 800 iMac. An early model and a late one.

The late iMac G4 800 is Classic mode only and not bootable into OS 9 so I hope you were able to verify which you were getting.
