PowerPC Mac Liberation Army

I know what I did last weekend...

Forum IndexMess Hall

My latest YouTube masterpiece. It's a sequel to my most famous YouTube video.

We shot it (them?) over the weekend. Twisted Evil
Hey, I offered them up, for free, and had no takers. I then posted a message on 68kmla (before PPCMLA picked back up, otherwise it would have been here, too,) stating exactly what would happen if there were no takers. Still no takers.

Both were electrically and physically in 'noncollectable' condition, and all worthwhile parts were removed before the video was shot. (Floppy drives, RAM, etc.)
Interesting use for old Macs. What model PowerBook was that? It looked like a 190 or a 5300...

Peace,
Drew

Power to the PowerPC!
It was the worst-condition of my four 5300c's. All the good bits had been transplanted to better-condition ones in my collection. I had a failed hard drive in there, and it was in remarkably good physical shape after being shot. No round hit it square-on, just dented. (In the past, we've shot server-class hard drives, and some of the massive 3.5" x 1.6" high ('half-height' instead of 'third-height') ones can stop even high powered rifle rounds. (I think a .30-06 from an M1 Garand went through five or six platters in an eight-platter monster, but the round stayed in the drive, it didn't exit.)
Well that's ONE way to discharge a CRT...
That's just mean.

Best ending would have been to pan slowly over the remains while playing "Taps", in respect for fallen comrades...
