Do you have any experience with a prototype Mac or a developer's sample? Share your story here! I'll post a little later with my experience with a PowerBook Mustang...
Peace,
Drew

Well, there is the off chance that my newly-acquired 128 is a very late pre-production unit. I can't be sure, but the serial number does indicate a 1983 manufacture.
I've had *PLENTY* of experience with pre-release PC hardware, though.

I believe I had a prototype Digital Audio G4/533 at one time, years ago. It had the silver metallic "Apple Development Team" inventory sticker on the top surface of the case.
I bought it at a bargain price from a reseller in Austin in '04. It did seem to have different markings than production motherboards, but I never took a picture. I ended up selling it to a guy who turned it into a nice budget audio workstation.
