Since Cine's site is still up, we over on IRC figure the forum got deleted. Hope for a backup!

Cinemafia.net sure seems to be offline from my end. I get the vDeck parked page just like I get for 68kmla.net.
Are you sure your cache isn't being displayed?
Peace,
Drew

I really hope that the 68kMLA comes back up... That's such a treasure trove of information. _________________ PPC Macs:

Unfortunately, I don't have anyones email address from 68KMLA except Dana's so there is no one I can contact about the site.
I've emailed Dana to see if she knows anything. _________________ The Texas State Home for Wayward and Orphaned Computers -- http://www.blackcube.org

I emailed tomlevens 2 days ago but he did not respond yet.
I hope that the 68kmla will come back...

If it doesn't, we can probably recreate the site from saved bits and pieces as well as perhaps The Wayback Machine.
Update: I traced down a gmail address for Cinemafia and dropped him a line. Maybe I'll get a response. _________________ The Texas State Home for Wayward and Orphaned Computers -- http://www.blackcube.org

I think that the sense of community was one of the greatest losses of the 68kMLA. _________________ PPC Macs:

I don't think it would really work out - I've never really used IRC before (I just about know how to connect but don't know how to do anything else really, and don't know all the etiquette/conventions of it) and I'm too shy anyway, I don't suppose I'd ever be able to say anything!
See ya all around though hopefully! _________________ Main system: custom C2D 2.66GHz tower/4GB RAM/2600XT 512 MB/500GB HD/XP Pro x86+Vista Business x64

Well I don't suppose I'll be missed much! You can say all you like about Windows and I won't be there to stand up for it... As I said, I expect it'll only be a few days anyway

After a little searching I finally found you guys. Anyone have any idea what happened to 68k or if it will come back. If not then I guess I busted down to private.

Welcome!
iMac600 seems to have been talking with Tom Levens a bit, and the current rumor is that the 68kMLA's server's hard drive died. Supposedly, Tom et al. are working on restoring the forum.
I wish them luck! I haven't tried contacting Tom, Cine, or any of the other gods of the 68kMLA, but I'm certainly willing to help if they need it. I figure the admins will ask for help if they need it, and rather than spam them with a deluge of email asking about the forum, we can use the PPCMLA until they get back on their feet (and, I hope, continue using the PPCMLA for PowerPC Mac discussion thereafter).
This thread over on the 'Fritter has some good info about the 68kMLA's situation.
Peace,
Drew

Well the sad mac is an improvement over that vDeck error page from a couple of days ago.

While I will miss the 68kMLA and hope for it's eventual return, I am glad I have found this forum. I like the look and feel. It's great and I will continue my membership / activity even (when) the 68kMLA returns.

I'm still waiting for Gambas' site to go offline. He's been dead for how long now? I hope someone saved all his pages offline because they are irreplaceable.
