I am looking for a working floppy drive for the PowerBook 1400. Does anyone have one that they would like to sell?
Thanks
Steve

The former eBay seller ginothings may be able to help you. He now trades apart from eBay. If you are interested, PM me for his email address.
He is also an Apple Agent (www.agents.apple.com/store).

I managed to get one from pbfanatic.co.uk for £15.

Complete, or just the mechanism? It's good that you found one. Is that a usual sort of price for one in the UK? Add internal postage, of course, which should not be too much, and that makes a sizeable cost.
The last couple that I bought, in 2004 and 2005, cost USD18.99 (AUD27.40 at the time) and AUD32, delivered.

Just the floppy drive. The £15 included the postage.
The PowerBook 1400 I got last year for free, but I have seen them sell for a reasonable price on ebay, usually between £10 and £50 depending on specs and accessories.
£15 I'd say is OK, but I have seen them go for about £7 on ebay. There just havn't been any avaliable for quite a while so I bought the £15 one.
