Soon, I will have in my hands a copy of Microshaft Winblows 98.

This great piece of software was widely considered by many to be the best Windows parody ever made, Especially now that Windows Vista's out. What was your favorite part of the parody? I often wonder how Parroty Interactive would parody Vista if they were still around today.

I've never heard of it. It certainly sounds interesting. Could you post more information, please?
Peace,
Drew

apparently, it was a game. Looks like it ran on Mac OS 7.
here's a recently ended listing on ebay. I'm sure you could pick up a copy there:

Anyone wishing to find out more should check out
microshaft.com. Unfortunately, the archived version has very little of it's original content on it, such as the themes and game downloads, and a few of the links on the site redirect to a generic domain holder page. I also can't access the exclusive Winblows.com version of the site through any means. If anyone has any of these missing pages and themes archived on their computer, It would be greatly appreciated. They would be excellent pieces of history to share with this community.

I remember reading a review of this in MacAddict about 10 years ago, rofl. IIRC it was made by the same people who made Pyst, right? (a MYST parody)

I made a few Windows parodies back in the day.
Whendoes (it ever work) 98 Pro -
http://mikerichardson.name/graveyard/Whendoes98Pro.sit (made in Al Staffieri's GameMaker Portions made in REALbasic and HyperCard as contributed by others. Not entirely convertible to OS X due to the non GM programs)
Whendoes ME (experimental versions made in REALbasic, never completed):
http://mikerichardson.name/graveyard/ (buggy OS X PPC Build available, also OS 9)
Whendoes 2000 (only released on AOL. no Internet download. Made in a newer version of GameMaker, but was too similar to Whendoes 98 Pro according to those who played both)
My friend also made one way back in 1998. Also made in GameMaker but a much older version. Wyndoze 98 -
http://www.silvernetworks.net/circuitsoft/
GameMaker games can be converted to Mac OS X using a program called GM Carbonizer. It basically reinstalls the game data into a newer runtime. The runtime is still PPC but it will run under Rosetta.
