Low Resource, USB thumb drive bootable nix?

Forum IndexPowerPC *nix

I was wondering if anyone knows of a Linux distro that is bootable off a thumb drive. this is primarily for disk recovery, and a big plus would be if it were platform independant. The only one I can think of is Damn Small Linux, but AFAIK, it is x86 only, and unless you buy a thumb drive with DSL on it, you can't run it from a thumb drive.

so, does anyone know of such a distro? At the very least, it should be:

-USB Thumbdrive bootable
-Fit on to a 128mb thumb drive (I have a 256mb drive, but it is my primary, and I have a spare 128mb).
-PPC distro
-Recovery centered
-Free and Open Source
-prebuilt (download and go).

optional stuff:

-Platform Independant
-Roll your own (I prefer prebuilt, but if nobody knows of exactly what I need, then you can point me to a roll your own distro).

thanks. -digital Wink
Well, OS9 can boot from USB on certain PowerPC macs with two USB buses (like the PowerBook G3, and most PowerMac G4s).

As far as I know, it is either extremely difficult to get Linux/PPC to boot from a USB drive, but if it did, I would probably try gentoo.

There is no PPC support, though.
Very cool, romko. Thanks!
