I installed itunes 2 on my performa 6200, but when I try to play an mp3 or any file even a CD, itunes crashes and quits... I have 48mb RAM, OS 9.1, 20gb HD. I know this computer has a ppc 603 75mhz processor.... What could be causing itunes to not work?

iTunes for OS 9 needs a hack in order to run on any machine that doesn't have built-in USB. It's a completely artificial limitation. If you apply the hack, it will work on that system; although you may need to turn off virtual memory, and have a really slimmed down set of extensions to get smooth playback on that processor.

I dunno, I remember iTunes working fine under OS 9 on an old 8100 I had at one point

It should work fine. I had it working under 8.6 on my 8500 about 10 years ago using a patch.
If it does not work a fresh download should be the next step.
