Airport extreme compatible PC Card

Forum IndexNewWorld Power Macs

Hi all,

For the Airport Extreme (802.11g variety) deprived Powerbook G3 user...

The ASUS WL-100GE type 2 PC-Card runs the Broadcom chipset and I can confirm that it is runs natively on a Pismo G3/400 external PC-Card slot under the Airport drivers in Mac OS X.4.

FYI, I managed to get one off eBay (AU) for a princely AUD$8 (plus S&H).

Hope this is useful for all those using non-Airport Extreme enabled Powerbooks.

Kind regards,

Macdownunder
The Linksys WPC54G Rev.3 card also works, is recognized by OS X 10.3 and 10.4 as an airport extreme card, in my pismo. It's got the same chipset as the Asante FriendlyNET AeroLAN XG AL5403-XG card too.
